Or use this address: assar.bjorne@skane.se It all began when Bjorne injected Lidocain in a patient's jaw muscle before a dental procedure. The patient then said his tinnitus (Bjorne wasn't aware the patient had tinnitus) stopped. When the effect of the Lidocain decreased the tinnitus came back. Much have happened since then and Bjorne has done a lot of research and developed a unique treatment. He's also working in close collaboration with a stress therapist. Bjorne's title is chief dentist but he has also studied ear, nose and throat conditions. Some studies have been written in cooperation with professor Göran Agerberg. Cranio (The Journal of Craniomandibular Practice) has published several studies by Assar Bjorne. Cranio is the oldest and largest journal in the world that devotes its entire focus to the reporting from all fields of medicine and dentistry, including general dentists, oral surgeons, orthopedists, physical therapists, radiologists, researchers, orthodontists, chiropractors, osteopathic and ear, nose and throat physicians. Riley H. Lunn, D.D.S., is the journal's founding editor. There is a 40-member editorial board. Associate editors are Per-Lennart Westesson, D.D.S., Ph.D. and Wesley E. Shankland, II, D.D.S., M.S., Ph.D. From the beginning, all manuscripts have been peer-reviewed on a double-blind basis to avoid personal bias. Articles are screened for clinical relevance and state-of-the-art expertise. Cranio, 2003 Excerpt: Of the 31 patients with Meniere's disease who participated in a controlled comparative study on the signs and symptoms of TMD, 24 participated in a subsequent controlled comparative study on the signs and symptoms of cervical spine disorders (CSD). [...] The results of the coordinated treatment showed simultaneous decreases in the intensities of vertigo, nonwhirling dizziness, tinnitus, feeling of fullness in the ear, pain in the face and jaws, pain in the neck and shoulders, and headache that were both longitudinal and highly significant. Out of the 24 patients mentioned above 22 got rid of their troubles after a year of treatments
