I to am an 18 year old who has suffered from TMJ for the past two years. I have also been told that it is all in my head but I think I know myself better than that. I know that it is not all in my head. I can empaize with your daughter. I have been pushed aside by many doctors and physio therapists until recently. I have just moved and have found a dentist who is in support of me... she sees that this is not something that is all in my head. Personally I think that all the sleepless nights that I have experienced are a sure sing of that. Not to mention the withdrawl from my one passion in life, singing. I am going to take the side of your daughter as she likely argues that it is not in her head.
