44 year female with tmj May 1999 I was driving to work when my airbag suddenly and violently deployed on its own. Two weeks later I was diagnosed with tmj or tmd. Have been on muscle relaxers and arthritis meds since. Always changing meds trying to find the right one to help me. Have seen many doctors and for many months have been going to a university dental clinic. Have tried everything from phsyc to physical therapy. Had a deposition with toyota attorneys which involed nothig more than them trying to make me look stupid. And feel like I had nothing wrong with me. My life has changed... no social life. I make it to work because I know I have to pay the bills!!MY symptoms are pain to the point of severe nausea, facial muscle spasms, are around ears and chin swell, backahe and cramp in legs- could be from tmd or meds? Blurred vision and I only can open my mouth wide on the good days. Usually can insert 1 or 2 fingers. I want my life back as well as better treament for all those with this disorder. Had arthrocentesis only to be diagnosed with ms... One day I will win my lawsuit and I will go to washington ... this will be heard again.... Thank you for this informative site!!!!
