I have TMJ and was given a bite splint to wear, which has changed my bite so that my top and bottom front teeth no longer touch and I cannot chew anything with them. This makes it nearly impossible to eat any fresh fruits and vegetables without pain or taking an entire hour! My friend told me the only way to fix my bite now is with surgery. But if the bite splint changed my bite in the first place, can't one be made to change it back? Does anyone know?
